STAR

Supplies needed for this tut ArtŠElias Chatzoudis www.elias-design.gr Purchased @ www.mypsptubes.com ScrapKit - Girly Crush - CandyAss (Freebie) http://www.candystreats.blogspot.com/ www.taggersscraps.com/
Xenofex 2 - Constellation - OPTIONAL VM Extravaganza - Transmission - OPTIONAL
Ok let's start
Open a new image 500x500 and floodfill white
Choose your shapes tool and draw a star big enough to fill your image,
you need a black edge, width 7.00 you do not need a colour on the inside of the tag.
Right click and convert to rastor layer.
Using your magic wand select the inside of the star and choose a paper from the kit to paste in there, paste it as a new layer above the star layer.
Go to Selections-->Invert and hit delete.
This should leave you with the paper inside the stars outline.
Now for the ribbons. I pasted the black ribbon and resized, then simply erased the edge that went over the stars edge!
I chose 2 of the smaller ribbons in pink and arranged them underneath the bow on the black ribbon, moving them so the edges showed beneath.
To acheive the blurry pink edge to the star, i duplicated the black star layer, then went to
Effects-->3 Effects--> Cutout and chose a vivid pink colour and pressed ok.
You need to blur the pink star, so lower it below the black layer and go to
Adjust-->Blur-->Gaussian Blur. set it to 4 and press ok.
If you have the plugin VM Extrvaganza then you can make the blurred pink star stripy by using the transmission plugin, and the same with the Xenofex 2 plugin, if you have the constellation plugin then add a little sparkle!
You dont HAVE to use the plugins as the tag will look as good without them, so dont worry about missing part of the tutorial out!
In the freebie kit there is a little heart with black wings, in the kit it has black rings to loop it onto something but i wanted them silver/chrome... so to acheive this....firstly place the wings to the edge of the star and imagine what you would see if it was hanging on there, ie. you need to delete the part of the ring that shows at the front, see my tag for the example.
Now to make it chrome/silver I used a plugin called Eye Candy, and the Chrome filter.
All you need to do, is using your magic wand, mark off the chain, so you have the marching ants around the chain then run the filter! once applied select none and its silver/chrome!
Add the name you want on the tag, and then again used the chrome filter as before and added a drop shadow and the constellation plugin.
Add your copyright correctly as it doesn't ruin the tag but makes 'the' difference!
This was a fab freebie to work with and i hope you enjoy it too!
